I am the mother of a 17 year old that will be volunteering in paraguay this summer for 8 long weeks! I am soo scared and nervous about this whole experience. (he's fine ofcourse) I have so many questions eveyrtime i ask questions and they get answered i get more questions. Can someone that has had that experience answer some questions? 1) He will be there in the winter. Does it get cold dry? cold wet? cold cold? how should he dress? 2) Do they have toilets? where do they use the potty? 3) How do they take showers? or where? Is the water cold? 4) when he takes spending money should he have cash? or have it on a bank card? 5) How is the host family usually? I will probably think of more but, for now thats it.
