One of our initiatives in going green is to reduce the carbon emissions getting to and from work. Probably the easiest ways of doing this are utilizing public transportation and organizing a carpool program. As most AMIGOS employees at the Intenational Office live fairly close to each other in a few neighborhoods, we have come up with a carpooling program (attached spreadsheet). The AMIGOS International Office is getting together a group of volunteers for 2008 Arbor Day: To Plant an Urban Forest. This is the first of many service events the AMIGOS Green Team will plan. Make Happy Hour green! Thursday Nov 8th marks the next session of Green Drinks. Green Drinks is a monthly informal gathering of people interested in Houston's environment.
